Blue Bloods

Do you like vampire books as much as I do? If so, you'll probably love Blue Bloods the first in a series by Melissa De la Cruz.

Schuyler Van Alen is one of the main characters. She attends a very private, very exclusive school in New York City. She is an outcast at the "academy" in part because she doesn't worry about fashion or how she looks, like Bliss and Mimi --- the "popular" girls.

As Schuyler turns fifteen things start to change. Her skin starts to turn translucent. The blue of her veins shows through in a paisley pattern. Schuyler is invited or rather summoned, to join the Committee. She learns that she is part of the long and noble tradition of the Four Hundred. The changes she is experiencing are all completely normal and part of the Cycle Of Expression.

Have I peaked your curiosity yet? If that isn't enough, Aggie, a classmate is mysteriously murdered. You will have to read the book and the sequels that follow. I couldn't put it down!
